We went to the Guide Dogs open day on the 6th July. The visit was sensational. Caitlyn was able to meet and pat several of the dogs. She was also allowed to sit on a mat with one of the retired guide dogs. You could see the look of absolute joy on Caitlyns face each time she was allowed to pat one of the dogs. Several of the dogs actually gave her big sloppy kisses on the cheek too.

I have since been speaking with a few of the staff from Guide Dogs Queensland. They have asked me if we would like to include Caitlyn in their "Life Stories" of VI persons. I happily accepted. We have also put our names down for the "Ambassador Dog" programme as well as the "Boarding Puppy" program. Both of these will require us to have a dog - the Boarding program is for short periods whereas the Ambassador program allows us to have the dog full time.
