AAPVI - The start of something New.

Well this is rather big news no matter how you look at it. My wife and I have been approached to run the QLD division of AAPVI. This will entail us being the contact point for other Parents of Vision Impaired children.

I have also been asked to upgrade their existing website ready to go forward into the new year. At this point the launch date of the website is set for the 1st of January 2009.

AAPVI provides a contact point for parents of Vision Impaired children who need assistance with obtaining the correct services so that their children are able to progress. We know from experience that it isn't easy to gain the services needed. There is no central database (until now that is ) that maintains a list of available services in the local areas.

We ask that if anyone has any contact points anywhere in Australia please leave a comment here with as much information as possible. We will then pass that onto the appropriate person at AAPVI.
