Mooty Report from Narbethong

Well what a day I had as I went along for Caitlyns second day at “school”.
The staff are so understanding of the “students”, parents and even the grandma’s that go along to also learn what they can do to assist in the development of their adored grandchildren.
I personally had the opportunity to chat with another grandparent regarding “how we felt” when we learned of our grandchild’s blindness. To be able to express my feelings and have somebody else understand, helped us both immensely.
My darling Caitlyn certainly enjoyed her time there and after viewing the facilities/equipment available I have full confidence that all her abilities for learning, social activity and her physical condition will be extended to their full potential.
Caitlyn certainly enjoys her activities whether it be - yogurt time, bouncing on the big ball and even the music time, with the activities that go with each song.
To go to Narbathong we caught the train, another first experience for Caitlyn and no way was she going to miss out on anything. The train trip was for a period of 1 Hr 20 minutes and she was awake for the full duration of the trip, and yes she decided it was time for a nap just 4 minutes before we walked in through the entry gate. She woke up to commence with her activities (total of 3 hours) had a bottle before going back for the return to home and again decided that a nap of 20 minutes on the return trip was all that was needed.
After me giving her a kiss and her rub noses (she always has a smile when that is done) I headed for my own home very satisfied with my visit, and the future development of my darling and all other “darlings” that attend the centre
