Been a few days since i posted anything. There has been quite a few small things that have happened in this time so i thought i would put them together into one.

Caitlyn's mum received a call from RIDBC on friday getting us to start and prepare for a Webcam chat some time this week. Needless to say now i have to make sure the webcam works (plugging it in certainly helps)

Elizabeth from RIDBC: This is Elizabeth from RIDBCWell the Visit today went extremely well. I must say that I am extremely tired myself from today. Elizabeth from RIDBC must be exhausted.

She left Sydney at approx 6am this morning. She probably won't be home until about 10-11pm tonight.

We had quite a long chat about all sorts of things relating to Caitlyn. The services available, the products we should use and the possible paths that we need to follow to ensure Caitlyn's best possible education.

Have received confirmation today that Elizabeth from RIDBC will be visiting on the 17th October 2007. This will be our first ever face to face meeting.

We have also arranged for Caitlyn's Mooty(Grandmother) to be there later in the afternoon as well.

Elizabeth said that she will start to go thru exercises and ways to interact with Caitlyn.

We received a call from RIDBC saying that they are sending one of their teachers up to meet with us in the next few weeks.

This is a major step forward for us as it means we can start to learn ways to interact with Caitlyn and to assist in her future learnings.

Will post further information once i have heard myself.

Been an interesting weekend. We have met up with a fantastic couple who are starting up a group to support vision impaired persons.

In the future i will post information regarding this group so that others are able to look into visiting.

I have also been looking into what information is available from RIDBC. They have quite a vast online presence that has information relating to vision and hearing impaired persons.
